Today's harvest from the mini-garden (above) - I can hardly stand how happy this makes me.
I am not normally a lover of peas, but these (above) are so sweet and tender. They are barely rinsed off before:
Gobbled up! Every single one. They were so good.
Husband comes in. Eyes me. Eyes the empty pea pods. "Good thing I didn't want any," he says.
Good thing.
I think those three veggies would make a great little salad.
ReplyDeletePoor husband. Lucky you! They look lovely...even the empty pods.
ReplyDeleteYummy! I love sweet peas. And this story made me chuckle. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first harvest. Gardens are just plain FUN! Well, they are until the woodchucks, chipmunks and deer invade. That's another page... enjoy this one.
ReplyDeleteMay I choose to believe that mini-vegetables are harvested from your mini-garden and you live in a mini-house?
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your harvest photos. Very nice...
I have to see what our cucumbers are doing! Those peas look delish...
ReplyDeleteYum, yum, yum this post is so delicious I would have eaten it all myself...if you hadn't gotten to it first.
ReplyDeleteNothing as wonderful as fresh peas!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying our not-so-mini garden, too.
Mother used to complain that I ate more peas out of the pod then I put in the pail. I love them like that.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my Pepper Jax post. Your comment about Pepper Jax is appreciated. I had thought we had owned Jack Russell Terriers before, and still think our "Tiger" was one but maybe not. My wife and girls said we owned more Toy Fox Terriers than anything else. We are thankful for Pepper Jax. What a nice dog he is.
