Snowy Snow, Mainey Maine

And so it goes
the snowy snow
of this Mainey Maine
winter

Another world
this quiet white coated world

Swirly drifts
and startling sun bright
. . .

. . . but there is work to be done
to clear a path
from here to there
and there to here

Winter Vignettes

Here's that red wheelbarrow again
now toting ice

and

two red kayaks
hunkered down

and

old woodpiles
slumbering

and

pond
glazed with ice

and

brook a-gurgling

ahhhh

Ice and Snow

So:
we've had snow and ice
and ice and snow
and rain and sleet
and sleet and rain
and snow and ice
and so it goes

You can hardly breathe
it is so beautiful:

Winter in Maine

Yes, it's cold in Maine
but
people know how to
take advantage of winter.

Dressed in layers
they celebrate the ice
the blue sky

and
ice skating
beside the harbor.

This is Saturday
at the library
in Camden, Maine.
