Bigga Moon
It's nine p.m. on this Friday evening in North Carolina, and that moon at perigee is spec-tac-u-lar. Are you gazing at it, too?
This may not be the best or clearest photo, but I like the fuzzed light--this reminds me of paintings by . . .by. . .well, the name escapes me. Perhaps you know?

Van Gogh? Monet? Very pretty photo!
ReplyDeleteYep! I just posted some shots of that bigga moon too. I'll bet there will be tons of them out there by tomorrow morning.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! As ours (like OUR moon is separate from YOUR moon!) was a brilliant flame red/orange that made me run inside for my camera ~ although I know absolutely nothing about how to take a picture of the moon ~ only to discover there must be something wrong with my shutter release button! Oh, NO!
ReplyDeleteSo thanks for capturing it for me instead!
Edward Hopper--that's the artist I was thinking of. . .!
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought I was the only one with a camera pointed towards the sky last night. I posted my photo on my Couleur Me Colette blog. It was taken in Wisconsin (brrrr) at around 10:00 pm. It was so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt was SOOO cool! I couldn't get a very cler picture either!
ReplyDeleteWe saw that moon from here too! and Hopper is one of my favorite painters!
ReplyDeleteThat moon was amazing! I tried to get a picture of it, but they just don't do it justice.
