Unfinished Angel Tour Details

Below is the schedule for the upcoming book tour for THE UNFINISHED ANGEL, to be published on 22 September 2009. Tours are the opposite of the calm in the above photo. Tours are rush, wait, fly, talk, rush, sign, rush, fly, talk, rush, sign . . .even when you have the very best of the best people scheduling your tour. (Cindy Tamasi Hamilton at HarperCollins is the best of the best.)

I hope you're near enough to meet me at one of these events. The school visits are not open to the public (unless you are part of that school community), but I include them in case you have children at any of these schools. Bookstore events and the National Book Festival are open to the public. Limited space is available at some bookstores, so you might want to check their website or telephone beforehand. Hope to see you!

Also, I'll be doing radio satellite interviews from 22-25 September. Perhaps you will catch one; I don't have that schedule yet.

  1. It makes me a little crazy that I can not yet make the spacing/layout work perfectly in these posts. Alas.

  2. Ridgewood, New Jersey!!! That is 10 minutes from my house! Are you doing the school only, no bookstore?

  3. Kate, yes it's school only, sponsored by Books, Bytes & Beyond.

  4. Oh, dear. I'm weary just looking at all of this whooshing and rushing from state to state.

  5. Books Bytes is SO great -- but I'm sad you won't be at the actual store so I can see you!!

  6. I found your website while browsing through Brattcat's blog on City Daily Photo. I said to myself, "can that be the same person?" My daughter, who just graduated from college, did her 7th grade Summer Reading Book Jacket Project on Walk Two Moons. It's still nestled in her memory box with a gold ribbon on it. Best wishes on your new book. Sounds like an awfully hectic schedule ahead of you. Do you ever speak in the Boston area?

  7. Antjas: Thanks for your note. I love Boston and would love to speak there, but it's not on this tour, alas. Maybe next time . . .

  8. Hi Ms. Sharon,

I just posted a right-hand side notice about your book release:

Also, I work with a really lovely, competent, talented woman who is helping me with all that layout and html stuff on my blog. She does websites for big libraries and universities but is doing some freelance stuff on the side for a VERY reasonable price. I could send you her email if you'd like someone to help you a little with the layout of your posts. She's really been a miracle for me.

  9. Cate: Thanks so much for your note and for posting book release info! I'll keep the layout suggestion in mind once I return from book tour, etc.

  10. Hey, Sharon: I['ll be doing a book tour at about the same time (I don't have my schedule yet) This probably means that everyplace I go, someone will say "Sharon Creech was just here"...or "Sharon Creech will be here Thursday" but we will never be in the same place at the same time...

    1. Lois: this was for my 2009 tour - but I WILL be back on the road this fall, 2012 . . . and everywhere I go, people will be saying, "Lois Lowry will be here!" or "Lois Lowry was here and she had a REALLY big crowd!" xx
