  1. Delicious.

I'm reading The Phantom Tollbooth with my little pupil. c:

That is a fare that gets better every time you taste it!

  2. Fuel. That's what books are to me. Without them my "motor" would sputter and die.

What a fine smorgasbord of books being served up.

  4. I read "Wonder" over my spring break and then started reading it to my students as a read aloud. It's a terrific book; I've been recommending it to everyone I know who loves good children's literature.

  6. Just got hard copies Wonder and The One and Only Ivan to share with my students. They gobbled them up. Both excellent books!

  7. I love THIS IS JUST TO SAY. When you're here next, I want you to meet Joyce. You two have a lot in common. You know I loved WONDER and THE ONE and ONLY IVAN. I need to read IMAGINE. Doesn't having a new book make you feel rich? That's how I feel.

  8. I used to write books and illustrate them as well. A 30 page book was quite the undertaking but the end result seemed to appeal to a lot of people who wanted them. I just ordered one from Amazon, it is an older book both written and illustrated by the same hand. That is or will be my inspiration to get back in the groove again.

  10. Yum! WONDER stunned me. I left it on a counter and stared at it for several days after reading it. So glad it's getting the attention it deserves. Am reading IMAGINE now and finding it fascinating. Looks like I have two more delicious books to add to my precarious pile. Thanks!

  12. Wild About Words - I felt the same way about WONDER. I bought five copies for my classroom and every day when the blue cover comes in through the door in my kids' hands, it makes me happy.

  13. Have you read "I Want My Hat Back" by Jon Klassen? It's genius! Might be up your alley? http://www.amazon.com/I-Want-My-Hat-Back/dp/0763655988/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336796247&sr=8-1
