I love that Cat Stevens' song
"Morning Has Broken"
morning: with all its promise
like the beginning of a story
all that world
ready to wake up
so much world
so much
so

Life and writing, serious and humorous, old and young, past and present: it's all part of the fabric.
“Maybe we’re here only to say: house, bridge, well, gate, jug, olive-tree, window--at most, pillar, tower--but to say them, remember, oh! to say them in a way that the things themselves never dreamed of so intensely.” --Rilke
It looks crispy and bright. Has to feel great.
ReplyDeleteOh, Cat Stevens! so much love for him, so much...:)
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one to remember him!
Love that song too. Thanks for reminding me.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful first shot! I love a bright, crisp morning.
ReplyDeleteWe used that song for our recessional when we married, in 1973. Good memories, great photos!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos. . . especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteYou got me looking back this morning.
ReplyDeleteReally never liked any of his hits or albums but...
Did not know BUT now I do. Cat wrote the song "The First Cut Is the Deepest" sung by many--- I love Rod the Bod's version the best. He also wrote the 70's hit by the Tremeloes, "Here Comes My Baby". Interesting guy too.
I just finished Jennifer Richard Jacobson's book SMALL AS AN ELEPHANT, and that song is what comforts the main character when he is lonely!
ReplyDeleteAdorable pictures, I'm traveling with your shots, mainly because the weather here is awful, a sunny morning is a dream! :) thanks!
