Yellow Pepper

If I could draw and paint better than I do, I would paint this still life:  the first yellow pepper ever grown in our yard, ever, ever, with delicate roses and a pleasing vase. It's simple, but I like it so much, this little vignette.

Do you draw/paint?

  1. It's lovely! I paint with acrylics/oils and enjoy drawing with paper or on a tablet (learning the tablet this year). Do you paint/draw for fun/what mediums do you use?

  2. I like the idea from Heartbeat. Leave the still life right where it is for the rest of the summer and draw/paint it every day at least once.

  3. superhero princess: I often paint/draw in any medium at hand - I love the utensils but have no training and less skill.
Fred: Great idea! But we ate the pepper and the rose petals are falling, falling. Well, maybe that's okay--the pepper stem and the falling petals, etc.!

  4. I wish, Sharon, that I could draw and paint. Each time I attempt something, I am disappointed in the results. That might be why I love photography so much. I love the color contrasts. Congratulations on growing the pepper...and I'm glad you ate it!

  9. The beauty of the photo lies in its simplicity.
