  1. There is no hole in the medal; the hole appears when the image is twirled . . .

  2. What a great idea! I hope this orb thing is not taking you away from all your writing...a monster has been created!

    1. Your fault entirely. :)) Orbing offers a nice break from writing. . . not a permanent obsession.

  3. Dear Sharon Creech,
That twirling, whirling, super-fast ride is amazing, the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me. But I must say, I'm a bit concerned. You spun me so fast my words got blurry, making them hard to read. And, as you know, they are very important words. Your wonderful book, WALK TWO MOONS, is such a well-deserved winner. Take it from me, I'm the one who picked it! That being said, if you'd like to turn me into an orb again, please feel free. The spinning is really fun.
    Sincerely,
    The Newbery Medal

  4. Pretty cool...it would make a great necklace or paperweight for the desk. Would love a tutorial on how to do these "orb" photos!

    1. I'll post directions soon! It's easy if you have Photoshop.
