This was today's sunset, above, 5:15 pm: the sky dramatically blue, the lake smoothly glazed.
Just two days ago, the sunset was full of gold and amber and orange,
the lake newly frozen and snow-covered:
I am proofreading the first-pass page proofs for the upcoming book,
thinking about endings.
Is my ending blue or amber?
Hmm. Amber, I think.
Of the books you read, are they more likely to have blue or amber endings? Mm?
These are two fabulous shots Sharon. That first one especially...clarity, composition, color...the whole thing. WOW!!!!
ReplyDeleteI do prefer an amber ending. The colors in both of these photographs are just stunning.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics!
ReplyDeleteI like both blue and amber endings, but I do find it helpful to be a little prepared. I read "Love That Dog" on an Amtrak train and was a little embarrassed to be sobbing into my Kleenex...
Great pictures, like this photographic work. I am proud of the visit. Amazing! Hugs from Brazil
ReplyDeleteI love amber endings, but the blue picture is gorgeous. I am a permanent member of the Sunset Club. Tonight it was followed by a harvest. moon.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty dynamic blue sunset on the lake shore. I like to be surprised... I can deal with the blue and amber. Can endings be blue-amber?
ReplyDeleteIf the ending in the book is as rich as the depth of color displayed in these photos, it will, without a doubt, be perfection.
ReplyDeleteAmbers draw me in but deep blues compel me to linger.
The endings on both books I am reading or nearly finished reading, Kennedy by Chris Matthews and Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson have white endings.
ReplyDeleteI think both endings are beautiful. That blue ending is so lovely. I can see why you love where you live.
ReplyDeleteI love your blue photo. But I love Amber too...my daughter's name is Amber. :)
ReplyDeleteTwo romantic moments! Thanks for sharing so adorable pictures!
