Shadows on an upstairs railing
mimic the slim trees outside
stretching upward
and
the cold clear waters of the pond
mirror the pure perfect blue
of the sky on this cold windy wintry day
in Maine
and the sun
that floating white light orb
(can you see it?)
is a reflection
entering the window behind me
and flinging itself into
the sky opposite
and bouncing back inside
onto my small head
I don't know if I am
outside or inside
sometimes

This I Love. Wondrous. Time and Space collide.
ReplyDeleteThis is a quite interesting image for a very cold November afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a wonderful predicament.
ReplyDeleteAh, Maine. Perfect in any weather, any season. A reflection of beauty, and maybe, just maybe what is on the outside counts as much as the inside when you live on a nourishing lake in Maine.

A magical moment, yes? It sounds like boundaries dropped away to reveal such a vivid play of color & light...and you there, part of it...
ReplyDeleteWith such tall windows and great views, hard to know, that's true!
ReplyDeleteAhhh . . .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteIntriguing.
ReplyDeleteThe beauty of the sky and the water lure the unsuspecting.
Love your words.
