About those tomatoes . . .

Oops.

In the last blog post
a photo of tomatoes on the vine
prompted the recall of
a long-ago poem.

I thought the first two lines were:

clothes on the line
tomatoes on the vine

BUT!
Today I remembered the correct version:

flowers on the vine
bermudas on the line

summer came and
summer went and

no one fed the swine.

Ho!

Flowers!
Bermudas!

No tomatoes!

Brains are amazing storehouses . . .

  1. They are! Love how time and space can bring clarity or recall memory.

  2. And then, when you realize your brain lapse, it almost seems unbelievable! I like the tomatoes better than the Bermudas. xo

  5. The memory returns.
It always does. Sometimes in the strangest of places and times though.

  6. I like the Ho! too. Still melodic & playful with words...Did you paint the little watercolor? It has an asian calligraphic feel to it & is very sweet!
