Between Books

When you finish writing a book
you might feel as bare as that tree above

and you need to stand there a while
and soak up that white snow
that blue ocean
that blue sky
that crisp air

until you're ready
to come to life
again

  1. Though I have never been between books as a writer, the same feeling comes when I am between books as a reader or between quilts or between knitting projects. This image is beautiful!

  3. Morning Sharon...What a gorgeous photo! I would be very happy to see some sunshine. Seeing that you have been very busy with your move, it's probably good that you are in between books. I have a feeling something is brewing.

  5. I heard S. King say once that staring at a blank piece of paper in his typewriter was the scariest thing he ever saw.

  6. You are so right. I often feel this way between posts. It keeps me peering around each approaching bend in the road.

  7. A renewal of sorts. . . a comfortable state of being when its purpose is clearly understood.

A beautiful setting: Does blue get any bluer than the ocean and sky shown here?
    And the tree. . .?

    The plot thickens.
