When you finish writing a book
you might feel as bare as that tree above
and you need to stand there a while
and soak up that white snow
that blue ocean
that blue sky
that crisp air
until you're ready
to come to life
again
xx
Though I have never been between books as a writer, the same feeling comes when I am between books as a reader or between quilts or between knitting projects. This image is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA very beautyful in-between moment.. Enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a Happy New Year, dear Sharon!Blissful, delightful and merry!
Morning Sharon...What a gorgeous photo! I would be very happy to see some sunshine. Seeing that you have been very busy with your move, it's probably good that you are in between books. I have a feeling something is brewing.
ReplyDeleteperfectly stated.
ReplyDeleteSounds as exhausting and rewarding at the same time :)
ReplyDeleteI heard S. King say once that staring at a blank piece of paper in his typewriter was the scariest thing he ever saw.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right. I often feel this way between posts. It keeps me peering around each approaching bend in the road.
ReplyDeleteA renewal of sorts. . . a comfortable state of being when its purpose is clearly understood.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful setting: Does blue get any bluer than the ocean and sky shown here?
And the tree. . .?
The plot thickens.
