Camden Harbor, Maine
Who owns these boats?
Who travels on them?
Families, friends?
Where do they go?
How did they learn to sail?
Each boat has so many stories
and if you are curious about them
you might be a writer.
Mm?
Life and writing, serious and humorous, old and young, past and present: it's all part of the fabric.
“Maybe we’re here only to say: house, bridge, well, gate, jug, olive-tree, window--at most, pillar, tower--but to say them, remember, oh! to say them in a way that the things themselves never dreamed of so intensely.” --Rilke
Gorgeos. Do I feel a boating adventure coming up in one of your books? What is the temperature up there?
ReplyDeleteForever curious. . .
ReplyDeleteThis is an encouraging post and such a lovely shot.
i'd say you're a writer once you know how to answer those questions, no matter the way..
ReplyDeletei think being near the sea stirs deep questions in the heart of a writer.
ReplyDeleteLove the Waterfront Restaurant overlooking the harbor.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. I always think those thoughts when I see abandoned old farmhouses here in the country.
ReplyDeleteWe wondered many of the same things when we visited Camden three summers ago. We loved looking down from Mt. Megunticook on the harbor.
