Order Amid the Chaos

You wouldn't know
that on the perimeter
of this calm scene
are towers of
boxes
boxes
boxes
boxes

Boxes
I tell ya:
millions of boxes.

  2. Ahh. It looks like such a calm place to sit and ponder. Camera views are often deceiving!

  6. Then this is indeed the calm before the storm. What peaceful image with the reflection and all.

  7. I've moved 12 times in my life...and still feel tired at the mention of BOXES. :) This last move about half of them contained books, though, which are more fun to unpack than things like kitchen utensils.

  8. As long as your new place is as big or bigger than the last, those boxes won't be a problem. Now if your new place is smaller - you have my prayers. I am dealing with that right now. Take time to sit. Just lovely!

  10. Moving your things into a smaller residence is like assembling a three dimensional puzzle. The interesting thing is that as you try to find a place for each piece you assess its importance. In a sense, you reacquaint yourself with your possessions.

  11. The last time we moved (six years ago) We didn't put the curtains up, we just piled the boxes up in front of the windows. Then when all the boxes were unpacked we found the curtains in the last ones unpacked and put them up. It worked out quite well.
