  3. I don't eat pie, but I love the pie scene in the movie, Michael. And I do remember my first visit to the legendary Moody's Diner! And, by the way, Sharon, have you all been sledding on the hill by the Camden Public Library?

  4. Apple is probably my favorite, though blueberry is a close second. The meringue in that lemon is extraordinary!

  5. I love apple pie when I bake it myself! Blueberry pie is delightful and pumpkin is heavenly, as long as it doesn't have too much clove.

    That lemon meringue looks delicious!

  6. Chocolate cream, banana cream, apple, lemon meringue! I feel confident enough to say, pie is my all time favorite dessert and sorely underrated. That's an incredible photo, can you share a slice?

  7. Mmm, lemon meringue. I somehow forget how much I love lemon meringue pie (and I almost never get to eat it). Maybe sometime I'll make one.

I also love a tart key lime pie, but that feels more like a summer treat than a January one.

  8. Your poem made me think of a poem one of my students, a 4th grader, wrote this fall. He's a master at alliteration:

    I pick the

    pumpkins

from the patch.I pass the path

and pranced up the porch. Papa pats

my back.He produces a pie from the pumpkin.

I prepare the pie for parents, Papa, and Pat.

We pig down the pie and pound

    some pork
