An ARC, an ARC, my Kingdom for an ARC . . .

Look at this treasure
that came in the mail today:

an Advance Review Copy (ARC)
of Karen Hesse's new book:

safekeeping

!

It looks enticing:
"a novel of tomorrow"

with generous doses
of
Karen Hesse's own photographs

!

I am eager to begin.

  8. ! I sense your excitement ! All for good reason. . . an Advance Review Copy! :-)

The graphic artist in me is lovin' that cover, esp. the lovely typestyle used for the title and author's name. I like its overall feel.

Re your comment on my blog, I was also taken with the wishing wall. Thank you for the nice comments.

  12. To my surprise, the cover of Ruby Holler, a favorite read on the upper level of my Shelfari bookshelf, has a new look. Very interesting. I like it. I also have the book on my Kindle and granddaughter Elyse, who also loves the book and has her own copy at home, likes to read it when she comes to visit. I note a bit of "stickiness" on my reader now that it is being shared with a seven year old. No complaints though. . . I'm simply glad that my granddaughter likes to read.
